It’s another Monday and as an optimist I’m out here trying to spread the good in the world any way that I can. I’m learning that I give excellent advice but I need to take said advice myself. Cheers to an awesome week and saying goodbye to June. Where is 2018 going?

With so much turmoil and hate in the world here are a few events that may briefly take your mind off the tornado of crazy.
June 28th personal coach Varsha from KnowingLuxe is hosting Dating and Relationships for the Career Minded Woman and rather you’re single or in a relationship you’ll want to check out this free event.
July 1st local fashion designer Yottis Tinsley is celebrating the opening of her highly anticipated boutique. This is a opening worth celebrating.
July 6th the Cultural District will be crawling with free art exhibits and art enthusiasts. Join the quarterly art crawl because there’s beauty in creative things.
Pittsburgh has a bar crawl for everything! I was certain we hit peak bar crawl madness and then Blue Light Events dropped The Potter Crawl. A Harry Potter themed bar crawl because why not? Pittsburgh will be full of wizardry July 14th and this event is surely going to sell out so get your tickets ASAP.
Pittsburgh is full of wacky food festivals and I’m okay with that! July 20th enjoy three days of all things pickles on the Roberto Clemente Bridge. Picklesburgh has the pickle foodies flocking. From pickle flavored drinks and foods to live music, you’ll probably never want to see a pickle after it’s all said and done but “cheers.”
Good Food Pittsburgh is hosting their inaugural Brunch Burgh Festival July 28th from 9:30 to noon at Hitchhiker Brewery. Does live music, brunch, beer mimosas, and vendors sound good? Yes! Will I be up before noon to check it out? Who knows. A ticket includes an awesome swag bag.
Last year Levels Agency brought us Fashion at the Foyer and just when we assumed it couldn’t get any more glamorous they’re bringing Fashion at the Mueller at Heinz History Center on July 28th.
Jam on Walnut returns with a Shadyside block party for the summer. Enjoy food, drinks, and live music all summer long. This year proceeds are going toward the Humane Animal Rescue.
Thrival Festival dropped the name of their first headliner and we’re impressed. Dillon Francis is set to rock Thrival this September at Highmark Stadium. The rest of the lineup is slowly trickling down but peeps are excited.
Happy Links
Was Incredibles 2 anything less than Incredible? Absolutely not. It was worth the wait and lived up to all the hype.
These guys built a Lego car and were out on the streets living their best lives until they got pulled over.
Domino’s Pizza is out here filling potholes because not all heroes wear capes.
Not that we needed to know the answer but Film Theory delved into the could you sue a superhero thing? And the answer may surprise you.
Now Playing
Demi Lovato is reminding fans and family that she’s not perfect and to be patient with her in her new single “sober.”
Kiana Lede’s “Fairplay” dropped three months ago but I still can’t stop listening.
Here’s a lasting reminder to go forth and spread happiness. Mondays mean fresh starts.
xoxo
