It’s sad that we sometimes have trouble with being properly appreciated because we’re so used to this throwaway narcissistic, instant gratification society.
Society made self-love an insecurity because people who like themselves and embrace their flaws are weird.
Weird is mostly synonymous with uncool. Quirks are frowned upon because we all should be clones second guessing our every move to make society happy.
Happy isn’t just a mood. It’s always seeing the glass half full and allowing someone to appreciate you as much as you do. It’s knowing things will be okay and getting out of your own way. Happiness is hugging your flaws and allowing others to hug your soul even if you’re unsure if they’re there for long.
Long for a healthy relationship with yourself before searching for happiness from someone else.
