Vaxxed, Relaxed, and a Plea to the Unvaxxed and Ignoring Facts Population

Herd immunity in the USA is just not going to happen any time soon. As a professional optimist, I also believe in facts and the facts are not enough people are getting vaccinated.

At first it was, “Wear masks to protect each other” and now it’s “wear a mask to protect the unvaccinated.” That one is tricky. I’ve witnessed the frustration with the anti vaccine crowd to the point where some vaccinated peeps gave up on the unvaccinated and I can understand why. Imagine being in a global pandemic and doing everything right and nothing changed. The immunocompromised and kiddos cannot be collateral because people are choosing ignorance over science.

Some counties are paying top dollar in hopes of getting a vaccine and Americans are turning their noses to them. Some Americans are taking parts in a trial to get their third shot while some countries are upset because their government made the first unaccessible. Vaccine inequity is real.

99 percent of the new cases in the US are unvaccinated people. The deaths were preventable and there are peeps who on their death beds wished they would’ve listened. One of them was a young nurse who refused the vaccine, and currently Mississippi has 2 children on life support and 7 kids in the ICU sick with the Delta Variant. There’s no surprise that Mississippi also has some of the lowest vaccination rates in the country.

I got my degree in communications but I took enough science courses to know that government scientists aren’t in the conspiring together in every country to lie to us business. 🤷🏿‍♂️ That would be a lot of schooling for absolutely nothing.

At the end of the day, it’s going to be a rough fall when we realize flu season is back, Covid never went anywhere, the vaccinated have given up on the deniers and realized the peeps refusing to get vaccinated want to participate in that loterry, and most of the impending deaths this fall were preventable.
